Manchester City have made it into the UCL round of 16 for the first time and what an interesting way to welcome them by being tied with Barcelona. A tie that isn't as straight forward as some people will take it to be. Both teams have equal chances of progressing into the quarter finals with Barcelona having a weaker defence than last season and City looking very good in the group stages. It promises to be a mouth watering tie.
Mourinho gets his wish as Chelsea are drawn against Galatasaray. It will be an emotional return for Drogba to Stamford bridge where he became a blues legend.
Manchester United would be happy with their draw as they are coming up against Olympiakos, although its not a forgone conclusion.
Schalke 04 have been handed the task of stopping Ronaldo and Real Madrid from progressing to the quarter final stage and claiming the La decimo.
AC Milan have a hard tie against the "dark horses" of the competition, Atletico Madrid who have been in fine form through out the group stages.
Dortmund, last years finalists are drawn against Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg. This is a tie the German side will be expected to see off.
French giants PSG will face German opposition Bayer Leverkusen who finished second to Manchester United in their group.
And a repeat of last years round of 16 tie sees Champions Bayern Munich play against London outfit Arsenal. In their last encounter last season, Bayern managed to go through on away goals. It will be interesting to see how this years encounter turns out.
