Jamin's blog :Villa-United Review

It was a must win game for the reigning champions and for the home side, a chance to go level on points with United. It was Aston Villa who started the better with Albrighton testing Der Gea twice within the opening ten minutes of the game.Well, It was United who broke the deadlock first as Welbeck reacted fastest to turn the ball in after Januzaj's header came off the post. Just minutes later, Welbeck again pounced on a cross by Valencia to make it 2-0, in the process doubling his tally of goals scored this season since his opening day goal. Midway into the 2nd half, Cleverly rounded up the goals for united with a well taken finish after receiving a pass from Rooney which summed up United's dominance of the game. United were boosted by the return of Scottish midfielder, Darren Fletcher from an injury lay off dating back to last year. United missed a couple more chances as well as Villa who had Agbonlahor spearheading their attack. Zaha came on in place of Rooney for United and Kozak in place of Benteke for Villa who has been a shadow of himself last season. It was a much needed win for United who would be hoping they can start a run from this victory.
